Resident Evil Village was revealed last month after months of an insider revealing details of what to expect from him. Now this individual returned to draw attention to advance that it will be one of the longest in the entire franchise.

On Twitter, Dusk Golem briefly spoke about the amount of time it might take you to finish Resident Evil Village. The first thing he made clear is that he still doesn’t have an exact figure to talk about the duration of the game, but he made it clear that it will be one of the longest developed with RE Engine. So you should expect it to last longer than Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil 2 Remakle, and Resident Evil 3 Remake.

In case you missed it: Capcom has already completed more than half of the Resident Evil Village development

Now, how does it compare with other deliveries? There is no exact information, but Dusk Golem suspects it will be shorter than Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 6. If so, we could expect Resident Evil Village to last more than 10 hours, but not much more than 15 hours. With this it would be one of the longest installments in the entire franchise.

It is important to note that thinking this is not at all crazy. After all, Resident Evil Village is expected to have a greater emphasis on exploration. Thus, it will be less linear and the experience may vary slightly between players.

Should I believe this information?

As we already mentioned, Dusk Golem is one of the most trusted insiders in the Resident Evil world. After all, he gave correct details about Resident Evil Village months before the project was revealed. He also shared details about Resident Evil 3 that turned out to be correct.

Now, that Dusk Golem is a reliable source does not mean that it is infallible. So there is a chance that they may have shared the wrong information with you or things could change in Resident Evil Village’s remaining months of development.
