WWE brought some NXT Superstars to the main cast, but they never debuted. It looks like the company will start rolling them out to lRAW and SmackDown. However that does not mean they are signed.

WWE did not give new contracts to NXT superstars

According to the Fightful portal, recent calls from WWE have not received new contracts. Many of them are working less scheduled than they were in NXT before the pandemic.

It is reported that “the issue of extending contracts or offering new ones will likely be addressed when things ‘get back to normal’”. This refers to the current situation of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company is not looking to spend more money despite its incredibly strong second-quarter earnings. As of now, the company has no idea when it will go back to rolling out a live events calendar. Once that happens, they will have a better idea of what kind of off-TV hours they will be having.

There is also no guarantee that live events will return in the traditional sense. The company may only be on tour for television recordings. Vince McMahon said the pandemic put them out of the live events business.

We can see what happens in the future, for now we will keep you informed.
