Real is not there at all!

Without Sergio Ramos, Casemiro or Karim Benzema, Real Madrid did not have a great match in Villarreal’s lair and settled for a point (1-1) on Saturday in La Liga.

The real Madrid did not shine in his quest for the title last season. This same team of Zinédine Zidane is not more flamboyant but, this time, the results are not good. After the defeat in Valencia (4-1) before the international window, the Merengues, this time deprived of their rock Sergio Ramos and the essential Karim Benzema, shared the points with Villarreal (1-1) on Saturday.

Mariano Diaz of entry!

The men of “Zizou” yet opened the entry score on a sequence that is debated. The assistant referee indeed raised his flag before changing his mind and some players from the Yellow Submarine stopped playing, leaving it to Dani Carvajal to cross for Mariano Diaz (2nd). The former Lyonnais was established in the absence of “KB9” as well as Luka Jovic, he who played only 7 matches last season (for one goal, the one against Barça on March 1).

The rest is a Real who has not mastered much in the game despite the association Toni Kroos-Luka Modric-Martin Odegaard in the axis (in the absence of Casemiro and Federico Valverde). Eden Hazard, affected by covid-19 during the truce, lacked physical freshness to make the difference. The entries of Vinicius and Isco on the hour mark (65th) brought little to dying Madrilenians.

Courtois cracks …

The Unai Emery team gained confidence over the minutes, led by the excellent Daniel Parejo. The midfielder, facing his training club, has also missed the frame on a good situation (70th). It was finally Samuel Chukwueze, who entered the game, who obtained a penalty by being hooked by Thibaut Courtois, leaving it to Gerard Moreno to equalize (76th). And again, Raphaël Varane had to make a great comeback on the same Gerard Moreno (82nd).

A little disappointed by the end of the match which could have allowed him to strike hard, Villarreal remains however 2nd in the standings, one point behind Real Sociedad, before the rest of this 10th day. Real are 4th, 3 lengths behind the Basque leader, who can go on to win yet another victory in Cadiz on Sunday.
