PS5 : Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury debuts in Japan with over 250,000 units sold

Famitsu has published his estimate of video game and console sales in Japan during the week of February 8-14, a period marked, as has happened in Spain, by the launch of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury: the relaunch of this three-dimensional platform on Switch has been a success, since has sold more than 250,000 units in its premiere placing the first of the weekly list.

In second position is Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa. Heisei. Reiwa mo Teiban !, a successful and quirky Konami game that had topped the table since its launch in November and has only been ousted by Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. The strong presence of Little Nightmares II on the list, with 35,633 units sold between its version of Nintendo Switch and that of PS4.

Switch, Japan’s best-selling console for another week

In terms of consoles, the Japanese have bought more units of Nintendo switch than from any other: the hybrid has sold another 109,615 units this week between its two models. PS5 has been the second best-selling console with 22,890 units, followed by PS4 (4,407 consoles) and Xbox Series X / S (136 consoles). As in other markets, new generation machines continue to have stock problems in Japan.
