PS5 : Pokémon Diamond and Pearl remakes to be announced this weekend, according to rumors

Sony Playstation 5 :

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon saga and, according to sources close to The Pokémon Company, this weekend the first games that will arrive to celebrate this event will be presented: as reported by the Pokémon Center, and as collected in VGC, the company will be planning to announce on February 27 the remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl for Nintendo Switch.

In fact, the sources they cite from the Pokémon Center assure that These remakes will arrive this year to the hybrid console, although they have not specified a specific launch window. However, last month the same portal specialized in the saga gave more details about this supposed project: arrive in November 2021, according to its sources, and will have a style similar to that of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! / Let’s Go, Eevee !.

More clues on a possible remake of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl

This same medium also discovered the diamondpearl.pokemon.com domain activation, a website that is still inactive (gives a 403 error that indicates that the user does not have permission to access the website) but that indicates that The Pokémon Company is working on a new portal that could eventually collect information on this rumored remake.

To this information we must add a small hint that the community of Pokémon wanted to see in the greeting of the new year that Junichi Masuda, producer of the saga at Game Freak, posted on his personal Twitter account: the producer accompanied his message with a photo of several Psyduck plushies, which for many fans was undoubtedly a reference to a famous scene from Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

What is clear is that the Pokémon fan community is looking forward to a remake of these two games, although for now neither The Pokémon Company nor Nintendo have moved in relation to them: the first simply anticipated big plans for the 25th anniversary of the saga, but so far there have only been virtual concerts and collaborations with clothing brands, while the second recently celebrated its Nintendo Direct filling its calendar with news but without mention another game in this franchise other than New Pokémon Snap, which will launch on Switch on April 30.
