PS5 : GTA Online hints at a new expansion on a new island

Sony Playstation 5 :

Rockstar games has posted a mysterious video on his official Twitter account: on it you can see a series of images from Grand Theft Auto Online, the multiplayer from Grand Theft Auto V, as if they were taken from security cameras. Little information is given about the content of this video, in fact the game logo only appears for a few seconds, but fans have found some clues that could indicate a new expansion with a new area of the map.

The video begins with a title, El Rubio Dossier, which suggests that it is some type of confidential information about some mafia boss. As you can see in the tweet inserted below, what is shown is a succession of images of an area of Grand Theft Auto Online that does not exist today. The fan community has tried to find out more about it.

Clues to a possible new map

Apparently, in some moments of the video you can see a new game map that does not correspond to the one we know so far, which is the same as that of Grand Theft Auto V. If Rockstar Games is advancing a new expansion with this teaser, most likely it will bring a new area for the multiplayer map, although obviously there is no official confirmation yet.

Also, at the end of the video you can see a corpse on a game beach: the inert body lies in the sand with a briefcase at its feet, a picture that does not clash in the atmosphere of the game but that curiously it has also started to appear in Grand Theft Auto Online. The players of this title have discovered that corpses with briefcases are appearing on the beaches of the game in random locations that change every real hour.

Both Grand Theft Auto Online and Grand Theft Auto V are available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, in addition to for PS3 and Xbox 360, but their new generation versions will arrive later -in July 2021- to PS5 and Xbox Series X and will have exclusive content for multiplayer mode.
