PS5 and Xbox Series debut in top-seller Japan dominated by Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed

An important week with the arrival of the new generation consoles, despite the stock problems.

Playstation 5

As usual every week, the prestigious Japanese media Famitsu has published the Japan top seller corresponding to the last seven days in the Japanese country. It is not just any date, since it is when both PS5 and Xbox Series have reached the stores, and the data published a few hours ago regarding the sales of new generation consoles is confirmed.

Sony’s console has been the best-selling system, with more than 118,000 units sold in both versions of the machine. For its part, Xbox Series has reached 20,000 sets, combining the figures of Series X and Series S. An arrival of a new generation marked by the stock problems that both Sony and Microsoft are having to supply the demand. The figures are those registered from November 9 to 15.

When it comes to games, Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War sneaks directly into No. 1 in sales, with 84,475 copies sold, showing that Activision’s shooter also has pull. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with a little more than 45,000 units, sneaks into second place. Then we leave the full top, both software and hardware.
