The 25th anniversary of Pokémon will be celebrated in just a few days. Nintendo, Game Freak and Creatures will not miss the opportunity to celebrate with fans and are already preparing multiple events. None of them, however, are related to a video game, but fans are hoping it will be announced soon and it seems the idea of the return of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl is more and more likely and it seems it will have the style of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee !.

Long ago it was rumored that The Pokémon Company would be working on a remake or reinvention of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and, while nothing has been revealed about it and not even a Pokémon Direct, fans believe that the reveal will take place. on Pokémon Day, next Saturday, February 27, perhaps during the Post Malone concert.

Players are almost certain that the new game will be some kind of remake of the installments that took place in Sinnoh, but there are still questions about whether they will follow the classic style of the franchise or if they will adopt the gameplay of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee !.

Pokémon Diamond & Pearl could adopt the Let’s Go style

Well, although the details are null about a possible new game, there are clues that indicate that they could have the style of the Let’s Go series. We say this because the Twitter user pixelpar discovered a record of the Pokéball Plus and what is striking is that Nintendo received the certification on a recent date, on January 11.

As the user points out, periodic tests are necessary, at least 1 a year and, if a change is made to the product, the new product must be tested. The last certification was in 2018 (the launch year for Let’s Go deliveries) and the last production date was March 2019. This would mean that The Pokémon Company plans to produce more units of the old model or even a version

In case you don’t know, this peripheral was introduced together with Pokémon: Let’s GO, Pikachu! & Let’s GO, Eevee! and allows, among other things, to catch Pokémon in a more interactive way with the Nintendo Switch titles, which suggests that the possible remakes of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl will have a gameplay similar to that of Pokémon: Let’s GO, Pikachu! & Let’s GO, Eevee !.

In case you missed it: The Pokémon Twitter account curiously seems to have made a reference to Pokémon Diamond & Pearl and the Let’s Go series.

There are many more reasons to think that The Pokémon Company is preparing the return of Pokémon Diamond & Pearl. Most importantly, the titles, originally released in 2006, will be celebrating their 15th anniversary this year – launching a commemorative installment would be a very good idea.

Likewise, we remind you that the last iteration of the series arrived in 2019 and served to introduce a new generation of Pokémon, so there are still years to go before the debut of a new region and that space could be filled with remastered or reinvented titles, such as Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee! (which came before Pokémon Sun & Moon and Pokémon Sword & Shield, respectively). By the way, you should know that the last reimagined installment was Hoenn’s and the next one is Sinnoh.

We will keep you informed of any news about the franchise.
