The year that has just begun would have one of the most important beginnings in the history of Pokémon GO, as Niantic prepares a great celebration that will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the franchise, which will take place in February. It could not be celebrated in any other way than by paying homage to the origins of the franchise, with a global event to which all players are invited and whose preparations have already started in the form of events focused on regions of the series. Sinnoh’s event is currently underway and, as it is a countdown to finally reach Kanto, the region where it all started, the next event would be Hoenn’s and to prepare fans today Niantic revealed all the bonuses that they’ll be avalaible.

To begin with, we inform you that the Hoenn event will start only a few days after the culmination of the Sinnoh event, specifically on January 19 and until the 24 of that same month at 8:00 PM (city time). from Mexico) it will be possible to find Pokémon discovered more frequently in the Pokémon titles Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald, such as Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Taillow, Loudred, Nosepass, Aron, Meditite, Roselia, Carvanha, Numel and Baltoy.

In case you missed it: February’s Community Day will feature the Thorn Pokémon and the Super Power Pokémon will soon take place.

Take advantage of the event to register many Hoenn Pokémon

Various creatures from this region will hatch from 5km Eggs, such as Skitty, Aron, Corphish, Lileep, Anorith, Bagon, and Beldum. Something interesting about this event is that it will be a bit easier to find Aron in his shiny form, but you will still have to have good luck to get it.

Likewise, it will be possible to challenge and catch Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Aron and Bagon in 1-star Raids; to Breloom, Mawile, Grumpig, Spinda and Absol in the 3-star ones, and to Kyogre and Groudon and in the 5-star or legendary ones. If you have a Metang and evolve it to Metagross, it will learn the Meteor Fist move, which was exclusive to the Community Day it starred in.

We remind you that the new feature of Pokémon GO, the collection challenges, has just debuted and in this event you can take advantage of it, because if you catch Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Nincada, Nosepass, Aron, Plusle, Minun and Bagon you will be rewarded with Silver pineapple berry, experience points (XP) and 1 Incense.

You can get a special Rayquaza during the event

During this period there will also be a temporary Research series that will ask players to catch 2 Kyogre, 2 Groudon, and 30 Pokémon in total to reward them with 10 Kyogre Candies, 10 Groudon Candies, and 30 Pokéballs, respectively. But the interesting thing is that it guarantees an encounter with the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza that will know the exclusive Gale Wind-type move (and that can be Shiny), as well as a Silver Pine Berry and 3000 XP.

Are you away from your friends and can’t go out because of the pandemic? Don’t worry, Niantic will help you out and give away a bundle of 3 Remote Raid passes from Tuesday, January 19 to Monday, January 25 to challenge Groudon and Kyogre multiple times.

Finally, we tell you that shortly after this event ends, the Johto event will start, which will begin exactly on Tuesday, January 26 and will end on Sunday, January 31. Details were not revealed, so we will have to wait a bit longer to hear about them.
