Poitiers sinks a little more Toulouse

In the penultimate match of the 20th day of the Men’s League A, Poitiers won on the Toulouse floor in four rounds, signing a second success in a row.

Poitiers confirms its good form at the moment. Four days after having surprised the third in the championship, Tourcoing, the players of Brice Donat took advantage of their trip to the Toulouse floor to line up a second success in a row in the Men’s League A. If the Spacer’s players led very early in the score, it was the Poitevins who took control of the exchanges but never managed to take more than three points in advance, even seeing their opponents pick up three times. But, with four of the last five points, Poitiers took the lead. An ascendant that the teammates of Georgios Petreas (12 points) thought they could consolidate in the wake, chaining nine points in a row to take a mattress of six points but a drop in speed allowed Toulouse to return, pocketing nine of the last ten points of the second round. Stunned, the Poitevins took a little time to regain their senses but a convincing end of the third round allowed them to get back to the front in this meeting. For a long time, Cyril Larrieu’s teammates (18 points) believed they could snatch the tiebreak but, not to distance Poitiers, the latter made themselves vulnerable and lost in four sets (22-25, 26-24, 18- 25, 23-25), their third straight league loss. Poitiers, with this victory, consolidates its eighth place in the standings.
