PlayStation Spain and Juegaterapia join forces in a charity proposal to help hospitalized young people

The company will raffle items by famous singers, artists and athletes to provide themed rooms for hospitals.

PlayStation Spain and the Juegaterapia Foundation today present the ‘PlayStation Explorers Club’, an initiative that seeks to create thematic rooms in hospitals for children and young people, to help them in their recovery without ever losing the illusion for play and exploration. These rooms will be equipped with PlayStation 5 consoles, and will also offer a space in which to promote physical activity and celebrate workshops that invite exploration, indicates the company.

Each raffle ticket costs 5 eurosFramed within the program PlayStation commitment, this initiative not only has the support of Juegaterapia, but also that of dozens of artists, musicians and athletes who have turned to it to carry it out. People like La Oreja de Van Gogh, Marc Márquez, Álex Márquez, Carolina Marín, Rafael Nadal, Dj MaRiiO, Arturo Valls, Sergio Reguilón, Gema Hassen-Bey, Jorge Resurrección “Koke” and Ibai Llanos, as well as our own Álvaro Castellano, who will donate different objects to offer them by lottery, and thus finance this initiative.

“PlayStation and all his friends they want to make the union the force, a force that is transmitted to young explorers to help them in their recovery process “, adds PlayStation Spain. Video games help relieve pain for patients in therapyThese 25 items, and a few more to be announced soon, will be raffled in a solidarity gala in March among all those who buy ballots, to 5 euros each. All this, we repeat, in order to provide Spanish hospitals with rooms that help the recovery of the youngest through games and activities. As a scientific study by Juegaterapia with the Hospital La Paz in Madrid points out, video games are good therapy to help hospitalized children, which helps relieve pain in pediatric cancer patients after chemotherapy.

We remind you that this month the Spanish games and studios that will be part of PlayStation Talents this year have also been announced. Thanks to Juegaterapia and PlayStation Spain, the youngest can keep smiling during your stay in hospitals, either through activities or with a PS5. And if you have not yet had the opportunity to get one, and you want to know more information about it, in our PlayStation 5 analysis we tell you everything that this new generation console offers.
