Original Naruto Author To Replace Boruto Manga Writer

The official Naruto / Boruto Twitter account reported that Masashi Kishimoto, creator of Naruto, will return to the franchise, replacing Ukyō Kodachi, as scriptwriter of the manga Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. The announcement stated that this was the plan from the beginning and Kishimoto’s work will be reflected from chapter 52 of the manga, which will be published in a few days in the Japanese magazine V Jump.

About the Boruto manga:

Starting with Boruto Chapter 52, which will be published in the December issue of V Jump (on sale November 21), the production team will change according to the schedule planned from the beginning.

We would like to thank Kodachi-sensei for all of her hard work in writing the story so far.

From now on, we will continue to publish the series from scripts written by Masashi Kishimoto-sensei. “

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is a sequel to the original work by mangaka Masashi Kishimoto, which narrates the adventures of Boruto Uzumaki, the first-born of Naruto Uzumaki and Hinata Hyūga, who is part of the new generation of ninjas from the Hidden Leaf Village. .

The story began its serialization on May 9, 2016 in the pages of Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine, but would be transferred to V Jump magazine in July 2019; both publications belonging to the Shueisha publishing house. The work will continue to feature illustrations by Mikio Ikemoto, Masashi Kishimoto’s former assistant in Naruto. So far, the manga has 12 volumes, which are published in Mexico by Panini Manga. Bouto also has an anime adaptation since spring 2017, whose simulcast is broadcast every week by Crunchyroll.

It should be noted that chapter 51 of the manga entitled “Sacrifice” led fans to speculate on the potential death of Naruto. During the fight against Isshiki Ōtsutsuki, Kurama suggests to the Seventh Hokage to activate a technique that is described as “the last resort”. Although this transformation will release all his power as Jinchūriki, the ability used by Naruto, together with the 9-tailed fox, seems to inevitably result in the death of both.

Will it be Naruto’s last fight? Boruto Chapter 52: Naruto Next Generations will be published this November 20 in simulrelease with Japan, legally and for free, through the application Manga Plus.
