Opel Crossland 2021: Mokka-scented update

The Opel Crossland 2021 is the restyling of the first generation of the model of the German firm. It loses the ‘X’ in its name and adopts a design language identical to the one released to that of another of the manufacturer’s recent novelties, the Mokka. Its starting price is 20,650 euros.

The new Opel Crossland 2021 supposes the updating of the Compact SUV who arrived with the mission of replacing the Opel Meriva. What is most striking is the adoption of the new design language Vizor premiered by the Opel Mokka.

Among its shortlist of rivals are some such as the Citroën C3 Aircross, with which it shares the platform PF1, the SsangYong Tivoli or the Renault Captur.


The new Opel Crossland 2021 maintains its length of 4.21 meters. The front is the part that changes the most with a grille in which the color black predominates, to which a series of silver details are added that give a more country touch.

On the side there is a chrome strip under the doors and another above the windows. For its part, the rear bumper has a more ‘off-road‘, while the optics have a wing-shaped light signature. Name Crossland is clearly visible in the center of the gate.

The rims can be 16 or 17 inches. The former can be silver, black or in a two-color finish, while the latter are always in glossy black or two-color.

The body can have a two-tone decoration.



Opel announces the presence of three different multimedia systems for the new Crossland 2021. The most complete of all, called Multimedia Navi Pro, has a touch screen of up to 8 inches and is compatible with the protocols Apple CarPlay Y Android Auto.

The rear row of seats allows a longitudinal adjustment whose displacement reaches 15 centimeters. The boot can have between 410 and 520 liters depending on this. If the rear seats are folded, this figure increases to 1,255 liters.



The first of the new finishes Opel Crossland is called Edition, and incorporates led headlights and Multimedia Radio infotainment system with 7-inch color touch screen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Above is the finish GS Line, which adds a sportier touch with 17-inch black alloy wheels, a black roof and the brand’s distinctive red line. It also has AGR seats for the driver and front passenger, roof rails and front and rear LED headlights.

The Opel Crossland also offers the finish Business Elegance, which includes panoramic rear camera, front and rear parking assistant, Multimedia Navi Pro and wireless charger for Smartphones.

The most complete version is called Ultimate, and includes as standard automatic parking assist assist with parking with vehicle warning in the rear view mirror, the Multimedia Navi Pro infotainment system with an 8-inch color touch screen and OpelConnect services. The ergonomic AGR seats upholstered in black Alcantara for the driver and front passenger have adjustable heating. It also has LED headlights, heated steering wheel, dual-zone electronic climate control, ThermaTec heated windshield, SolarProtect tinted glass on the rear and the hands-free key.

The Opel Crossland 2021 comes with gasoline and diesel options. The first start from 1.2 PureTech three-cylinder. The lightest has 110 horsepower, while the most powerful goes up to 130 horsepower. The latter is the only one with this fuel that offers as an option a six-speed automatic transmission per torque converter. The standard automatic transmission also has six speeds.

As for the Diesel, there are two versions of the same 1.5 HDI that deliver 110 and 120 horses. The lightest has manual transmission and the most powerful, automatic. Both variants have six relationships.

The new Opel Crossland 2021 It has new springs and shock absorbers, as well as a more precise steering. Traction control system is also included IntelliGrip with different driving modes.



The price of the Opel Crossland 2021, already on sale, starts in Spain from 20,650 euros, a figure that corresponds to the Edition finish. The GS Line does the same from 21,650 euros, while the Business Elegance starts from 24,050 euros. The most complete of all, the Ultimate, sells from 26,850 euros.
