The second DLC character pack for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate it still has a couple of places that are a mystery to the public. Although many rumors have come to light about possible fighters, the head of one of SEGA’s most popular series has mentioned that the protagonist of a certain franchise will never be in this incredible crossover.

In a recent interview with Redbull France, Toshihiro Nagoshi, director and producer of the Yakuza series, mentioned that Kiryu, the protagonist of this beloved franchise, will not make it to any fighting games, including Super Smash Bros Ultimate, because he doesn’t want to see Kiryu hitting women. This was what he commented:

“We receive many requests for [colaboraciones]. Of course, there are exceptions, but fighting games usually have female characters, and I personally don’t want to see Kiryu beat up women. “

Thus, the possibility of seeing Kiryu is ruled out, not only in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but in Mortal Kombat, Tekken, and any other fighting game where the catalog of fighters includes women. However, it is possible that the Yakuza series has some form of representation in other games of this type.
