Oaxaca.- The wait is over and finally the Liga MX released its official schedule for the Apertura Guard1anes 2020 contest, which will begin on Thursday, July 23 with the game San Luis vs FC Juárez, at the Alfonso Lastras Stadium. That same weekend will be the debut of Mazatlán FC against Puebla and the tournament will last until December 27.

Originally, the contest was scheduled to start on Friday the 24th; However, a few days ago it was announced that as part of a new strategy for positioning the soccer product, from now on the official games will start on Thursday and will run until Monday of the coming week.

Likewise, as a gesture of recognition to the medical and health personnel who have battled against covid-19, Liga MX decided to change the name of the tournament and instead of Opening 2020 will be baptized Guard1anes 2020.

With an emotional video, dedicated to doctors who have been on the front line of the battle against covid-19, Enrique Bonilla, president of Liga MX, presented the highlights of the calendar.

Mazatlán FC debuts at the maximum circuit on Friday, July 24 at the Kraken Stadium against Puebla at 9:30 p.m.
