On January 12, the St. Petersburg Ministry of Emergency Situations received a message about a fire in an office building on Akademika Pavlov Street. According to eyewitnesses, cryptocurrency mining equipment could have caused the fire.
An hour later, firefighters extinguished the open fire on the first floor of the building.
Following the emergency, the fire affected the premises over an area of 30 m². There are no deaths or injuries.
Recall that in November, a fire also broke out in one of the residential buildings in St. Petersburg. It is caused by a mining farm. The owner of the equipment is hospitalized for burns to the arms, back and neck.
Then, rescuers discovered that the mining farm was operating without a cooling system.
