Paris superstar SG Neymar, back from an adductor injury, will be in the group that will play in Monaco this Friday, as well as Kylian Mbappé, but not the Spanish Ander Herrera, who is out at the last minute, the club reported.
Neymar had been injured in the Champions League match against Basaksehir Istanbul at the end of October (2-0). He received the go-ahead from doctors on Thursday night after taking part in collective training.
His coach Thomas Tuchel declared on Thursday that he could give him “a few minutes” for this match on Matchday 11 of Ligue 1.
But the coach’s goal is for him to be in Tuesday’s crucial Champions League clash against Leipzig, key to PSG’s aspirations to be in the second round of the top competition.
Mbappé, with thigh problems since the beginning of November, is also in the group, as well as Italian forward Moise Kean, who is recovering from a knee problem.
The South American internationals Marquinhos, Leandro Paredes and Ángel Di María, who have crossed the Atlantic after playing with their national teams, also travel to Monaco.
Ander Herrera, who received a blow to the thigh on Thursday in training, will not be there. The technical team has decided to reserve it.
Marco Verratti and Mauro Icardi, who have not played with PSG since October 5, continue their recovery work. They could be against Leipzig, warned their coach.
Julian Draxler and Idrissa Gueye hope to return to training next week. Thilo Kehrer (pubalgia) and Juan Bernat (knee) continue their recovery.
