New trailer for ‘Dune’, the long-awaited Denis Villeneuve film with Timothée Chalamet

We can now take a look at the new trailer for ‘Dune’, the highly anticipated film directed by Denis Villeneuve that adapts the homonymous novel written by Frank Herbert, considered one of the most important science fiction novels of all time. This time the film will focus exclusively on adapting the first half of the successful novel, opening the possibility of a second part.

On the occasion of the launch of this new advance an authentic event has also been held in some selected cinemas from the United States, in which the first ten minutes of the film have been seen exclusively, after the screening of the trailer, as well as a series of exclusive previews of the film, presented by Villeneuve himself and even a conversation with Hans Zimmer, who is in charge of composing the soundtrack of the film. Those who have already been able to see these first previews and exclusive footage especially highlight the production design and praise the work of Villeneuve in presenting that universe in which the film is set.

After a first adaptation of this novel to the big screen by David Lynch in 1984, comes this film that will have its world premiere on September 3 at the Venice Film Festival. Just a few days later the film will be released in Spanish theaters, which will arrive on September 17 at the same time as in the rest of European countries, anticipating its premiere. However, in the United States the film will not arrive until October 22, more than a month later.

The movie features one of the most powerful deals of the year, since we meet faces like: Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Dave Bautista or Stellan Skarsgård.

Synopsis and official posters

Along with this new advance different individual posters have also been released for each of the characters in the film:

The film tells the story of Paul Atreides (character played by Chalamet), a young man who must travel to Arrakis, the most dangerous planet in the entire universe, to fight for the future of his family and his people, facing his destiny. At the same time, he must face a great struggle that is taking place to take control of one of the most exclusive resources on this planet, which has the power to unlock the full potential of human beings.
