New president of Bolivian soccer supports the coaching staff of his team

The brand new president of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), Fernando Costa, expressed his support for the technical team of the Bolivian national team on Sunday after confirming that he will lead the delegation that will travel to Asunción for Tuesday’s match with Paraguay.

“They have all the backing of the president and the Federation. We are here to motivate them for the important game against Paraguay” declared the Bolivian soccer boss after visiting the Green concentration in Santa Cruz (east).

It will be Costa’s first official trip after his unanimous election as president on Saturday by the 21 leaders who attended the Ordinary Congress of the FBF.

Through a statement, the federative entity confirmed that Costa will accompany Asunción to the Bolivian team that on Tuesday will play a match for the fourth date of the South American qualifying for the World Cup in Qatar-2022.

Bolivia is in the basement of the standings, without units, after three consecutive defeats, two of them at home. Although it shares a place with Venezuela, the difference of seven goals against puts Green at the bottom.

The negative results against Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador have raised questions about the work of the Bolivian coach, the Venezuelan César Farías.

Despite this, the selected teams travel with the hope of asserting themselves and playing a worthy role against the Paraguayan team, emboldened by their recent 1-1 draw as a visitor against the powerful Argentina.

“We are going to have a very tough game away from home. Unfortunately things did not go as expected. Our desire is to add away from home and be able to raise our heads at once” declared midfielder Leonel Justiniano before leaving for Paraguay.
