Skullgirls 2nd Encore is an immortal game and I am not saying this because many of its protagonists are more dead than alive, but because it is once again one of the main games of EVO 2020 and its community does not stop growing. Perhaps knowing that good times are coming for Lab Zero Games’ debut film, or perhaps because they are a bit freer after finishing Indivisible, the studio has just released a new update in its version for PC that they hope will arrive soon on Playstation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

New colors and animations for Skullgirls 2nd Encore

With the EVO around the corner, this update focuses on adding new content completely free of charge, leaving gameplays changes for an update that will arrive at least after the great fight games event. The novelties are the following:

Beowulf, Double and Squigly have new animations when entering combat, courtesy of Skullgirls Mobile. Added to professional fighting game player SonicFox as NPC. Now all characters will scream when knocked out of midair. Some pixels have been added Some characters were missing in certain frames. The two exclusive color palettes for each character in the Nintendo Switch version will make the jump to all platforms. More color palettes have been added to various characters, taken from Skullgirls Mobile. No Man’s Land, the exclusive setting for Skullgirls Mobile so far, also debuts in 2nd Encore. Some color palettes that were removed from the game for certain characters have returned, however they have not been able to collect them all.

With so many extra, new and rescued color palettes, the total number of color variations per character goes up to 40. Can you find all the references?
