World of Warcraft is one of the most popular MMOs in all of history, so it’s normal for many to be thrilled to see a clue that seems to indicate it’s on its way to Xbox Series X, Microsoft’s next-gen console. This would represent the first time that the MMO that arrived in 2004 was available on consoles.
But why do people think World of Warcraft may be on the way to Xbox Series X? What happens is that the body in charge of the classification of video games in Brazil made a new registration for Shadowlands, the next expansion for World of Warcraft. What caught the attention of many is that he points out that this is a release for PC and Xbox Series X.
In case you missed it: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands already has a launch window
In case you don’t know, several releases have been leaked through the rating sites of different countries. So, it makes sense that the community was excited to see this information, since it seemed to be a clue that we could finally see a World of Warcraft port for a console.
It should be noted that this information was shared by Gematsu and reported by sites such as IGN and Windows Central. That said, when we searched the LEVEL UP information on the agency’s site we found no reference to an Xbox Series X version of World of Warcraft. Thus, the agency may have removed this information.
Blizzard Entertainment has not commented on this at the moment. So we don’t know if this was a simple mistake. We will keep an eye out and inform you when we know more about it.
Not sure if this is an error, but World of Warcraft: Shadowlands was rated in Brazil today for Xbox Series X + PC. https://t.co/PVcoSIn1ii@Blizzard_Ent @Warcraft Can you provide some insight? pic.twitter.com/h1n1lLUXIY

The community had already thought that we would see World of Warcraft on consoles
Now, it is important to note that this is not the first time in recent months that the community thinks that World of Warcraft could be on its way to consoles.
What we mean is that references to the Xbox Adaptive Controller were found among the World of Warcraft Shadowlands Beta files long ago. This caused many to think that Blizzard was finally considering the option of bringing its long-lived MMO to consoles.
Shortly after this information began to circulate Blizzard came forward to explain that it is actually adding support for this controller. The above so that the community has more options and thus make the MMO more accessible.
What do you think about this new? Do you think we’ll see World of Warcraft: Shadowlands on Xbox Series X?
