Netflix announced Wednesday that it will be working with Tim Burton on his television directorial debut Wednesday, a series about the sinister and cunning daughter of Los Locos Addams.
The digital giant detailed in a statement that Burton, who will be director and executive producer, will be accompanied in this project by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, who were most responsible for Superman’s adventures in Smallville (2001-2011).
The first information about this series inspired by Los Locos Addams was known last October, but at that time there was still no streaming platform or television network behind the project.

Even then, it seemed that this series would be the ideal excuse for Burton to enter television in a big way since the creepy but very funny Addams family fits perfectly in the unique, imaginative, dark and very recognizable style of this director.
In Burton’s career, films such as Beetlejuice (1988), Edward Scissorhands (1990), Ed Wood (1994), Big Fish (2003) and Corpse Bride (2005) stand out.
His last work to date for the big screen was the remake of “Dumbo” (2019), a Disney film that went by without much glory with weak reviews and a gross of $ 353 million (on a budget of 170 million ).
