There are more and more proposals for wireless audio accessories that come from the same mobile phone manufacturers, and Xiaomi is one of those that has this repertoire. A repertoire that grows as the months go by and that now welcomes a new member, one with Bluetooth connectivity and neck support.
The Chinese firm has presented its new My Neckband Bluetooth Earphones ProAn incredibly long name for a neck-strap wireless headset that also boasts much-sought-after features such as active noise cancellation or latency reduction, so important in gaming.
This is the Xiaomi Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro
The new Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro incorporate this last surname, Pro, as they are now inserted into the ear instead of being in the outer pavilion. This allows Xiaomi to introduce the active noise cancellation, rather than another with an external microphone and an internal microphone. While the external one is responsible for capturing all the ambient sound, the internal one is the one that evaluates the external sound that seeps into our ear to cancel it.
Xiaomi claims that it is capable of reduce ambient sound by up to 25 decibels to deliver virtually crystal-clear audio, even on calls. In addition to this feature, which we can activate or deactivate to taste, the Mi Neckband Earphones Pro come with 10-millimeter drivers to improve the banjos, and offer a latency of only 125 milliseconds.
The speakers carry a 150mAh battery that offers up to 20 hours of continuous playback and up to 200 hours in standby mode, and they charge through a microUSB port. They also come with IPX5 protection against water, which makes them resistant to both splashes and sweat, making them ideal for sports. They are compatible, by the way, with Bluetooth 5.0 devices.
With the included neck support, the Mi Neckband Bluetooth Earphones Pro have a total weight of 36 grams and are compatible with voice assistants, with a button in case we prefer to invoke it like this in addition to serving to answer or reject calls.
