The Ministry of Health and EODY announced the Saturday (20/2) 1,424 new cases of coronavirus in Greece, while the patients in ICU increased to 325 and the victims of the latter 24 hours reached 23.
Detailed information:
“The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 1,424, of which
2 were identified after checks at the country’s gates. The total number of cases is 178,918
(daily change + 0.8%), of which 51.8% men. Based on the confirmed cases of the last 7 days, 47
are considered to be related to travel from abroad and 1,921 are related to an already known case.
The new deaths of patients with COVID-19 are 23, while since the beginning of the epidemic a total of 6,272 deaths have been recorded. 95.7% had underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older.
The number of patients treated by intubation is 325 (67.4% men). Their median age is 70 years. 87.7% have
underlying disease and / or age 70 years and older. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,270 patients have been discharged from the ICU. The new admissions of Covid-19 patients in the hospitals of the territory are 247 (daily change -10.83%). The average seven-day admission is 222 patients. “
