NBA : CLAIM: Philadelphia 76ers Pursuit of Kyle Lowry

By Eurohoops Team /

According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, Philadelphia 76ers, one of the most ambitious teams of the eastern conference, wants to make a serious contribution to its staff.

O’Connor said the Sixers had not yet determined their ultimate goal in the barter market, but said he was interested in the Toronto Raptors’ star quarterback Kyle Lowry.

For Sixers, who lacks an outside creator on their roster, the Lowry addition could fill a significant shortcoming. Whether the Raptors will be open to trading Lowry is another matter of discussion.

In support of O’Connor’s report, ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski also wrote that Sixers’ head of basketball operations, Daryl Morey, acted aggressively in order to make a big trade in the barter market.

The Sixers name was frequently mentioned in James Harden barter rumors earlier this year. However, as the Houston Rockets traded the star player to the Nets, perhaps the strongest rival of the Sixers at the eastern conference gained even more power.

Kyle Lowry, who was chosen in the 24th place in the 2006 Draft, is currently unable to wear due to a wrist injury. However, in his first 25 games this season, he averaged 17.7 points – 6.4 assists – 5.4 rebounds.

It could be a great addition to Kyle Lowry, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, who have been selected as All-Star 6 times in his career. Lowry also experienced championship joy with the Toronto Raptors jersey in 2019.
