Montaño was sworn in as the new president

With the presence of the Electoral Committee of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), the only candidate for the presidency of the Cruceña Football Association (ACF), Noel Montaño, obtained 21 votes in favor -of the 30 possible- to proclaim himself the winner of the elections. He was sworn in as the new starter this Sunday.

The formula named A Goal for Santa Cruz was the only one authorized to participate in this process, after meeting the required requirements. Montaño will lead the ACF for the 2021-2025 management.

The electoral contest should have been held two weeks ago, but a constitutional protection presented by one of the members of Pablo Salomón’s plate stopped the process. In addition, the former candidate asked to be taken into account, since he had been disqualified for not complying with the requirements to stand for election. The last legal recourse was denied by the Fourth Constitutional Chamber of Santa Cruz and this made the elections viable.

Montaño comes from serving as general secretary of the ACF, with Salomón and Lily Rocabado as president and vice president, respectively.

In this four-year period, Montaño will be accompanied by Fernando Barrios (first vice president), Paulo Santiváñez (second vice president), Severo Hoyos (secretary director), Marianna Mangone (director of Finance), Alaín Ojeda (director of Registry and Statistics) and Samuel Romero (director).

The board was sworn in before the members of the Electoral Committee of the FBF made up of Limbert Cardozo, Juan Domínguez and Luis Tejerina.
