We may already know the release date for Immortals Fenyx Rising on Nintendo Switch. However, what attracted the most attention (there are still a few months until its publication and the boredom is very bad), was its name change. And it is that this mythological epic from Ubisoft decided to abandon its original title, Gods & Monsters, for one a little longer. Now, they seem to have released a possible motive for such striking change.

And it is that both the video game news portal Hoeg Law and the YouTube channel Hoeg Law, have affirmed that the energy drink brand monster Energy submitted a letter to Ubisoft objecting that the title of its new IP, developed by its division in Quebec and inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild itself, could lead to confusion regarding its own brand. Even more so if we take into account its multiple sponsorships within the world of video games.

What do you think of the news? Do you give credibility to the fact that this fact was the trigger for the name change of Gods &, Monsters by Immortals Fenyx Rising. In any case, if so, we would probably be faced with the most sensible and safe option in order to avoid costly lawsuits, however absurd and unfounded they may seem.
