Milan and Ibrahimovic untenable

The Swedish striker cracked another brace in Serie A and AC Milan won 3-1 on Sunday in Matchday 8. The Rossoneri remain leaders and undefeated.

There are a handful of seconds left, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is standing next to the Milan bench. Despite a seriously strapped left thigh which forced him to give up his place in Colombo in the 79th minute, the Swede displayed a big smile, like all of his teammates. Hauge has just “killed” the match by scoring the third goal of the Rossoneri (1-3, 95th) while the Neapolitans were pushing hard after the reduction of Mertens’ score (1-2, 63rd).

Before the end of the suspenseful match, “Ibra” had again made his own by hitting twice. The former Paris Saint-Germain player had first taken his lead, ahead of Kalidou Koulibaly, a cross from Théo Hernandez (20th). Then in the second half, it is with the knee that he signed the break upon receipt of a service from Ante Rebic (0-2, 54th).

The “old” are a hit

With this double, the fourth since the start of the season in Serie A, Zlatan Ibrahimovic brings his total to 10 goals. At 39, here is Zlatan capocannoniere provisional, with two steps ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, 36 years old in early February.

And not to miss good news, the formation of Stefani Pioli took again the head of the classification, still undefeated, in front of the surprising Sassuolo.
