One thing some players were complaining about about Genshin Impact at launch is its lack of content after finishing the main story missions. Well, miHoYo worked on additions that arrived constantly apart from new characters and it can be said that this is no longer a major problem, even less when update 1.3 will debut shortly. Well, in addition to adding more story news, this new version will include a modification to what many players consider one of the most negative points of the game.

As promised, miHoYo is preparing to release version 1.3 of the game, which will be the most important since the December update (which opened Dragonspine) and which will be available in mid-February. To anticipate the changes that will be made soon, the developer took a look at the plans it has for the arrival of version 1.3.

In case you missed it: The newest addition to Genshin Impact is a skilled bow girl with Cryo elemental attacks.

What most caught the attention of game users is that miHoYo will make a major modification to the Original Resin system, which is needed to access certain game content and which players have complained about a lot for hindering endgame activities.

Original Resin is a consumable that regenerates slowly. Before the storage limit was 120 units, but then it grew to 160, which allowed users to accumulate more before playing the title again, but the rate of regeneration was not accelerated, which left many unsatisfied.

You will no longer have to spend Original Resin on some events

If you are one of those who expected more changes, there is good news, because today myHoYo revealed that it will no longer be necessary to spend Original Resin for the challenges of Ley Line Buds and in the Domains from version 1.3. This will be a very interesting mod, as it means that fighting Stormterror or Andrius Lord of the Wolves will not have an energy cost.

However, it is important to remember that these fights could only be fought once a week, so even though they no longer cost Original Resin, players will not be able to fight as many fights as they want. The interesting thing will be to see other events such as the battles against the Oceanids, Regisvid or Hypostasis, which until now have no restrictions apart from resin. It is unknown if miHoYo will apply any kind of restriction after eliminating the cost of resin.

Weak resin will be easier to get

But this will be even better, as it will also be easier to get weak Resin, which can be converted to instantly regenerate Original Resin. miHoYo announced that starting with the new version, players will be able to obtain 1 Weak Resin in the Wanderer and Gnostic Battle Pass (free and paid), which will replace the mystical refinement ore units (which can also be found as a reward in the Battle Pass).
