Mercedes-Benz EQS 2021: the S-Class of electrics

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQS is a fully electric saloon that is in the final phase of its development. It is expected to exceed 400 horsepower, with a range of 700 kilometers. At first it seemed that it would be a reality in 2022, but in October 2020 the brand has confirmed that it will hit the market in 2021.

There are no details about the equipment of the Mercedes-Benz EQS, although the Vision EQS boasts a Level 3 autonomous driving prototype and the ability to reach full autonomy as soon as regulatory bodies and technology allow.

Its battery, which will be the responsibility of the specialist CATL –Contemporary Amperex Technology–, will ensure a range of 700 kilometers. It is precisely with this figure that the battery of the Vision EQS, whose battery has a capacity of 100 kilowatt hours.
