In the book Finding Freedom, the authors reveal the reason Meghan Markle was unable to attend Pippa Middleton’s wedding.

Definitely, all the answers to the questions around Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are in Finding Freedom. Published this Tuesday, August 11, 2020, the biography produced by two journalists specializing in royalty, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, reveals the underside of the daily life of the American and Lady Diana’s son since their meeting. Among the many information revealed by the book, we can discover the reason Meghan Markle wasn’t at Pippa Middleton’s wedding, May 20, 2017. It is explained that the Suits actress was planning to attend the marriage ceremony of Kate Middleton’s sister, and had even carefully chosen an outfit for the day and a hat signed Philip Treacy. Only, a few days before the event, the tabloid The Sun published “It’s Meghan v Pippa in … the Wedding of the Rear” translation “Meghan against Peppa in … the marriage of the derrières”, an indelicate article opposing the respective buttocks of the two young women. To avoid tarnishing the party with a media whirlwind, the royal family then decided that Meghan Markle would only attend the private reception.

An in-depth investigation

To write this book, which has been making a lot of noise since its release, the reporters investigated the friends of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. In total, nearly a hundred relatives were interviewed. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Omid Scobie said: “Harry and Meghan did not participate in the interviews but many of their relatives agreed to speak, frustrated at how their friends were portrayed. They felt that the people they saw in the media were not their couple of friends, the people they know. It was a unique chance for us to shape a story unknown to all to those who wish to know it “.
