For the first time in their careers, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will appear in the ranking of the 100 most influential personalities in the world published every year by Time. And they could also make an appearance on TV.

It’s a ranking that matters. Each year, Time magazine publishes the list of the 100 most influential people in the world who have marked the current year. A ranking that generally includes politicians, artists, but also activists. And for that of 2020, the names of Meghan Markle and the prince harry will appear, reports The Express.

While it is not yet clear in which category the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will appear, they could make an appearance on television on this occasion since for the first time in its history, this classification will be the subject of a program that will be broadcast live on September 22, to retrace the journeys of the personalities named during the year. So Prince Harry and Meghan markle will be able to boast of succeeding in this ranking to personalities like Donald trump, Jair Bolsonaro or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Emilia clarke or Dwayne johnson which appeared in the 2019 ranking.

The British royal family used to the Time 100

However, Meghan markle and prince harry won’t be the first royals to feature in Time’s 100 most influential people in the world. Indeed in 2011, Kate Middleton and prince william had found their place there, and this the year of their marriage, to be one of the most influential couples in the world. The Duchess of Cambridge was there a second time in 2013, only this time, in the category “Icons” (Icons, editor’s note), in particular for her many engagements. In 2007, Elizabeth ii also appeared in the classification in the category “leaders and revolutionaries”, while prince charles found its place there in 2008.
