Maserati has marked the date of August 10 in red, in which it plans to simultaneously present the new Maserati Ghibli Trophy and Maserati Quattroporte Trophy, and unveil the update of the existing Maserati Levante Trophy.
At the moment there are no more details, because the trident brand has limited itself to communicating the chosen day with an enigmatic photograph that hints at the lines of the three vehicles. Be that as it may, it will not take a long time to get out of doubt.
The Maserati Levante Trofeo was presented in 2018 as the most performance version of the Italian SUV, with a V8 biturbo engine capable of delivering 590 horsepower to launch above 300 km / hour. Far above the base model, which reached a maximum of 230 km / hour with a V6 biturbo that delivered 430 horsepower.
So it is easy to conclude that in just two weeks we will know the most daring versions of the Ghibli and Quattroporte, which until now were at a maximum of 410 and 530 horsepower respectively. The only question is whether the Levante update will also bring a new engine for the entire Trophy family.
The current Levante Trophy equips a 3.8-liter Ferrari engine, but this renovation may also involve the adoption of a 4.0-liter engine. No details on its performance have yet emerged, although it is expected to be close to the numbers of the outgoing propeller, in the orbit of 600 horsepower.
The aforementioned SUV also underwent a redesign process to endow it with the SUV personality that was sought with the Trofeo family, including a specific suspension, a 50% perfect weight distribution on each axle or aerodynamic appendages in carbon fiber. Details that allow us to get an idea of what awaits us on August 10.
