As you probably already know, Warner Bros. will be launching all its future releases on the streaming platform, HBO Max, and in cinemas that are still open. Naturally, this made us question whether other production companies, such as Marvel for example, they would do the same. Well, in the case of the latter, it seems not.
Bob Chapek, CEO of Disney, He recently shared a statement, as part of the company’s latest financial report, on the status of its future releases. Being Black widow one of the closest, the executive reiterated that they have no plans to release this film in Disney +:
“We continue to handle it like a theatrical release. But we will be closely monitoring the situation to see if this strategy needs to be readjusted. “
As you can see, Chapek also left the door open for a possible theatrical release of Black widow, which was originally set to premiere in May of last year.
