Jesús Chapo Sánchez, defender of Chivas, assured that his teammate José Juan Macías has many similarities with former Atletico player Javier Chicharito Hernández, for which he considered that he could also become a benchmark for the Guadalajara team.
In case of scoring in the next game of the Guardianes 2021 against Pachuca, Macías would equal Hernández’s mark of scoring a goal in five consecutive games with Guadalajara, which he achieved 11 years ago.
“They are both hungry for goals, Chícharo was a player who moved very well, he wanted to be sharp on the attack and José Juan is also sharp, those characteristics found in both of them. I had to participate with Javier in the Tapatío and that was always his strength, mobility, always being in a position to score, and now Macías has done quite well ”, said yesterday during a virtual conference.
On the other hand, he acknowledged that the Guadalajara squad is not satisfied with the start it has had in the present contest, where it is located in 12th place in the classification, with only 6 of 18 units disputed.
We are never satisfied, we always want more. We have had very specific errors that have cost us goals against and we have it well detected, they are deconcentration that have prevented us from reaping more points, but we must work and focus on trying to improve, he said.
Likewise, he estimated that due to the performance shown in some games, Chivas would deserve to have better results.
We would deserve a couple more units, but we know that football is not to be deserved, but to be done. We must correct the things that have affected us so that we do not have those points and there is no other line than work, he said.
The Sacred Herd is preparing to face Pachuca on Monday, a team that Sánchez described as intense and warned that his team must take advantage of every opportunity to achieve victory
