Currently, only purchases can be made, amusement parks will not open

LOS ANGELES.- Hundreds of people waited in queues for the opening of the commercial area of Disneyland in California (USA), while the theme parks have been closed since March due to the coronavirus.
The businesses of Downtown Disney, an access area to the two amusement parks, opened their doors this Thursday after more than three months with an influx that was repeated today despite the spike in infections in the United States that has prevented the opening of all of the place.
According to local televisions, some fans of the company spent the night on the street to be the first to enter, since the capacity is limited by precaution.
Several social media users shared images showing a multitude of shoppers searching for Disney-branded items, such as T-shirts and stuffed animals, without keeping the recommended safety distances.
However, the company has implemented a series of measures to prevent infections such as closing those areas where physical interaction is greatest, posts of disinfectant gel and checking body temperature when entering.
The followers of the Mickey Mouse company will have to settle for just being able to visit the stores, since the two parks in California -the original Disneyland Park and the new Disney California Adventure- will not finally open on July 17 as announced.
It is the longest closure in the history of the original Disney park, which since its inauguration had only paused its activity three times: During the attacks of 9/11 (2001), the morning in which President John F. Killed. Kennedy (1963) and by the Northridge earthquake (1994).
There are a total of six Disney theme parks in the world. Those in Shanghai and Hong Kong, in China, have already reopened their doors and on Saturday they plan to partially open the one in Orlando (USA), an important source of employment in that state.
