We continue to cover the news of the ‘Slasher’ of the Ebro City, Lex Lüger, and I have good news !!!. Perhaps the most important thing to highlight in this post is his signing by the prestigious Madrid label The Fish Factory, which, truth be told, is lately signing many bands and artists that I adore ‘to the max’ such as Jolly Joker, Leather Boys, Star Mafia Boy or Mescaleros. I wish him the best because protected by a label like this, he will surely re-launch his career after The Lügers have gone on to a better life (…).

The ‘hidden youth’ will premiere solo after the summer with an album in which the fever of Horror, the energy of Rock’n’roll, the provocation of Punk and… attention!… The atmospheres are intertwined. Synthwave !!!. I assure you that although the latter may sound strange, Lex is taking it very, very seriously and he is going to surprise us all with all these nuances that are a definitive evolutionary step that sets him apart from his well-known Horror Punk from his previous one stage.

And speaking of ‘Synthwave’, in this period of confinement and ‘viral’ mutation, our protagonist has been able to experiment with synthesizers and eighties and eighties sounds coming directly from 1985 with an EP ironically titled Virus (2020) and that I recommend to lovers of Techno Pop, Darkwave and Synth Pop or, simply, for newcomers to the style who have become hooked on this music thanks / because of Stranger Things. There are five instrumental songs where many bands of the time will come to mind and, why not say it, many TOP moments from movies like Terminator, Blade Runner, The Never Ending Story, Teen Wolf, etc ,. etc,…

VIRUS by Lex Lüger

And well, to finish two ‘bonuses’. Continuing with those atmospheres generated by synths and keyboards from another era, our ‘Teen Wolf’ has taken his #Covers Vampiricas out of his sleeve on Youtube, where he chooses songs of all kinds to give them his own 80’s touch musically, adapting the lyrics to Spanish thoroughly well. So far it has the tune of the ‘Galaxy Rangers’, one of my favorite songs such as “Eye Of The Tiger” or the sacred frikada of the main theme of Kung Fury, “True Survivor” and that I leave you right here …
