León shook off the pressure by rejoining the victory after 11 games, by winning 3-1 at Toluca, while San Luis beat Necaxa 2-0, on the penultimate day of the Liga Mx Femenil.
With a double by Daniela Calderón (13 and 32) and an own goal by Viridiana López (65), the emeralds won at the Metepec facilities. Karen Becerril scored for the locals in the 35th minute. The result allowed León to reach 13th place, with 13 points, while the Scarlets are one step down with the same points, although both no longer have a chance of advancing to the league.
Leon’s team was dynamic and surprised at minute 13. Calderón received a center to finish with his head inside the area.
The visitors continued to control and after 32 minutes they increased the advantage. On a corner kick, Calderón beat the scarlet defense to finish point-blank range.
In addition, an error by Toluca allowed Lucero Cuevas to overflow on the right and send a pass that was rescued by Sanjuana Muñoz, whose shot was deflected by Viridiana López to enter the nets.
