Lenovo brings its first folding computer to Mexico

“Users in Mexico and Latin America are looking for equipment that they can work with, that are portable, functional and versatile, with this idea we decided to bring a team like the ThinkPad X1 Fold, with the idea of ​​going to that market of executives that require working with state-of-the-art equipment and good technology ”, Luis Hernández, vice president of Development of Commercial Product Solutions, Intelligent Devices Group at Lenovo, told Expansión.

The equipment offers a combination of portability with functionalities very similar to those of any smartphone, tablet and laptop, since it is a folding PC with which users can connect to 5G networks and with which design teams, executives can work. or creative professionals.

“We did a lot of tests especially on the materials, since it is a piece of equipment that you can fold vertically and horizontally. This type of computer requires a lot of work in terms of understanding how users use it, and the processor needs, design; Since 2016 we have worked in this team and we have made sure it lasts for years, ”Hernández said.

The equipment opens in different positions and is able to be used like a book, like a tablet or a normal computer. For this, the hinge has a durability of 30,000 times to be folded without the equipment having problems. It is equipped with 11th generation Intel Core i7 processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics.

“The Mexican market is very relevant for us and we have different products, of different ranges, whether they require mobile devices, equipment with a very good battery or equipment with more technology such as the ThinkPad,” Hernández said.
