Leganés and Espanyol, two of the clubs involved in the burning of the decline this season, decided to renew their fans’ season tickets for the 2020-2021 season for free, with the aim of compensating their members for not being able to finish the season with an audience in the stadium.
Given the decision to resume La Liga in June, but without an audience in the stands, the Spanish clubs offered the replacement at no cost to all their fans throughout the following campaign.
The cucumber box, which is led by the Mexican Javier Aguirre and which is in the penultimate position, announced on Tuesday the automatic renewal of all its subscribers for the next season.
“Given the impossibility of playing the remaining matches of the current 2019/20 season open-door due to the effects of COVID-19, the C.D. Leganés will compensate its subscribers by validating the current subscriptions for the LaLiga matches of the next 2020/21 campaign, ”said the cucumber box on its website.
For its part, Espanyol offered free passes to its more than 27,000 subscribers for the following campaign; In addition, he will reimburse 20 percent of the value of his current subscriptions to compensate his fans for the games behind closed doors.
“The club will give away all current members the membership card for next season at no cost. The 27,883 members of the club will receive the membership card for the season 20/21 free of charge. Subscribers will also have a 20% compensation in the payment of this course with various options to choose from, ”reported the Catalan club.
In this way, Espanyol and Leganés join Getafe as the only teams to offer free subscriptions for the following campaign to all their subscribers.
