Lazio keep intact their options to finish on the podium of Serie A after defeating Brescia 2-0, already relegated, while Milan thrashed on their visit to Sampdoria (4-1).

The Argentine Joaquín Correa (17) and Ciro Immobile (82) were the authors of the goals of the Roman triumph.

With the goal scored against Brescia, Immobile has 35 goals, leading Cristiano Ronaldo by four in the fight for the classification of top scorers in Serie A.

The Portuguese, however, have two games left, one more than the Italian, starting with the one that will play Juventus this Wednesday in Cagliari (13th).

With their victory, Lazio has 78 points, the same as Atalanta and one less than Inter, the three teams that will play the podium places on Saturday, although the Romans have the advantage that Bergamascos and Milan players will play each other.

Milan, meanwhile, will be able to aspire to fifth place after thrashing Sampdoria (15th) 4-1 on Wednesday, with two goals scored by Sweden’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

If the podium and the direct places of the Europa League are to be decided, so is the team that will accompany Brescia and SPAL next season to Serie B.

Lecce defeated Udinese 2-1 (14th) and placed just one point behind Genoa, who was thrashed on his visit to Sassuolo (8th).

On Sunday, Lecce will host Parma and Genoa Hellas Verona, which defeated bottom team SPAL 3-0.
