WhatsApp is one of the favorite applications of millions of Mexicans who are always looking for a way not only to surprise their contacts with the best stickers or content, but also to make the most of the tool that is used both in personal and work life.
On other occasions we have taught you some tricks to use this app, for example to prevent your contacts from knowing when you are online, but now we are going to talk to you about WhatsApp Web.
The option of using the messaging tool on the computer is one of the favorites of many because it allows them to be aware of their notifications without having to look at their cell phone, in addition to being able to type on a full keyboard and view their messages on one more screen big. But there are some tricks that few know.
We go in parts. In case you don’t know how to activate this function, this is what you should do:
Open the WhatsApp application on your cell phone, either on Android or iPhone.
Click on the three dots located at the top of the screen.
In the menu that appears choose WhatsApp web.
A QR code reader will then appear.
Then go to https://web.whatsapp.com from your computer, no matter what operating system you are using. When you do, the code that you must scan with your cell phone will appear.
Ready, you can access your chats from the computer and start taking advantage of this tool. Just keep in mind that the app depends on the connection on your cell phone, so if it becomes disconnected from the internet you will not be able to see or receive messages. In fact, if that happens, you will see a message on your computer, also if you are running out of battery.
WhatsApp on two phones
Although the WhatsApp Web version is intended to be used on a computer and, therefore, its interface is optimized for it, in case you want to have your chats on two cell phones, just follow the process described above. What will change is that, instead of accessing the portal from a computer, you will do it on the secondary phone, then you just scan the code and that’s it.
Of course, it is important to note that in the WhatsApp web session, it does not matter if it is opened on a phone or on a computer, you do not have access to functions such as sharing the location, adding contacts or making voice or video calls, although it does it is possible to open a room on Facebook Messenger.
Close or open sessions
When you have finished using WhatsApp web on the device, the recommendation is that you close the session. To do this, just go to your cell phone, open the app, display the menu in the three points on the right, choose WhatsApp web and you will see a button that says Close all sessions, just click and that’s it.
In case what you want to do is open a new session, click on the + sign that appears in the upper right and you will see the code scanner. You know what to do with it.
It is important to note that you can only have one active session, so if you open a new one in another browser or device, the one you have previously open will be closed.
One more advantage of this menu is that you will be able to see all the sessions started, so you can even recognize if someone else is viewing your chats without permission.
