Bristol (Connecticut, USA), Nov 18 . .- Argentine guard Leandro Bolmaro was selected this Wednesday by the New York Knicks with the number 23 of the first round of the NBA college draw and was immediately transferred to the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Knicks in return receive from the Timberwolves the picks of number 25 in the first round and 35 in the second.
Bolmaro, 20, who plays for FC Barcelona Lassa, joins guard Anthony Edwards, who this very night was chosen by the Timberwolves as the number one in the university draw, which is held virtually for the first time, due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Edwards, 19, who trained at the University of Georgia, whether he stays with the Timberwolves or is traded to another team, is expected to have a four-year, $ 44.2 million rookie contract, including 20 that will be guaranteed.
The draw, presented by NBA Commissioner Adam Silver, has not generated any kind of surprise so far because it does not have players who have created interest or have been considered as future stars or franchise players within professional teams.
