One of the bombs in the NBA market today has been, without a doubt, the one that confirms the arrival of Kemba Walker to New York Knicks. The former Boston Celtics who had been traded to Oklahoma City Thunder will not make his team debut and will join the New York franchise in a 4-year deal.
Tom Thibodeau’s Knicks last season was a welcome surprise for all the fans at Madison Square Garden, but to go one step further and settle into the Playoffs they needed a star, a leader on the floor. And that will be Kemba Walker in the hands of other excellent players like Julius Randle or RJ Barrett.
Four-time All-Star guard Kemba Walker has agreed to a contract buyout with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and upon clearing waivers, plans to sign with the New York Knicks, sources tell ESPN.
