Katherine Langford participated in Avengers: Endgame … although, in the end, her scene did not reach the final cut of the film. The actress recently spoke about her feelings regarding the decision to remove her collaboration.
In an interview with Smallzy (via), the interpreter of 13 Reasons Why reflected on the opportunity he had to be present in the highest grossing film of all time. This is what he had to say:
« I realized that, if they are going to cut you off of something, at least [es bueno] having had the experience of being cut from the last Avengers movie. «
Following these statements, he went on to say that he was happy to have that memory. In fact, he treasured his cameo so much that assured that he would love to return for a new production of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Before the crossover premiere, the inclusion of the young actress in the cast began to be widely publicized. For this reason, fans expected his role to be much bigger – and it was even thought that he would play Kate Bishop, who takes the mantle of Hawkeye when Ronin appears.
Eventually everyone realized that this did not happen, and instead of weighing heavily on the plot, their contribution was reduced to a few minutes, in which it was revealed to us that her role was that of Morgan Stark, Tony’s daughter. Although it is too brief, the meeting between the two relatives – in the soul gem, after the snap with which the billionaire sacrificed himself – is quite emotional.
Langford currently stars on Netflix’s Cursed.
