Justin Gaethje denies Chandler: “I was waiting for the fight deal for three weeks”

Things are heating up between Justin gaethje Y Michael chandler.

Gaethje, former interim 155-pound champion of the UFC, has not been slow to respond to Chandler’s allegations, ensuring that the three-time champion of Bellator he’s doing nothing but smearing his name with unfounded statements.

«@MikeChandlerMMA is speaking for the c * lo. I was waiting for the fight deal for three weeks while in camp and I wake up to the news that his daddy Dana (White) gave him a title shot. He’s been off commission since the KO. What am I missing? I’m on vacation and this jerk is tarnishing my reputation. Three or four times?”

Gaethje’s version coincides with reports that emerged prior to UFC 262, which claimed that the original plan was to pair him with Chandler. However, the 36-year-old fighter was presented with the opportunity to contest the vacant division belt with Charles Oliveira.

With Dustin Poirier fighting the champion at the end of the year, and Dana White revealing interest in scheduling a match between Beneil Dariush and Islam Makhachev, Gaethje vs. Oliveira should be the next move for the organization’s matchmakers.
