The National Elections Jury (JNE) launched the platform Informed Vote updated and enhanced, which will allow to know the resume of the applicants who will participate in the next elections in April.
Through this web portal, users will be able to know the data of the candidates regarding their academic training, work experience and whether they held party or popularly elected positions.
Also if they have court decisions, their income from property and income, marginal annotations and other additional information.
The computer tool also makes it possible to access the government plans presented by the political organizations in original and summarized version.
In each of these presentations, the problems prioritized by the parties, their solution proposals, the indicators that allow measuring the achievement of objectives and the goals, which are the quantitative expression of the expected results, are synthesized.
Through Informed Vote, the voter also has the option of compare candidates’ resumes and the summary version of his government plans.
Another novelty on this website is the reports and infographics tab, where various electoral profiles are shared: documents that analyze candidates and parties in a more in-depth manner.
In this way, the JNE seeks to offer citizens the necessary tools to cast a conscious and responsible vote next Sunday, April 11.
JNE offers support to the OAS Electoral Observation Mission
The president of the National Elections Jury, Jorge Salas Arenas, offered support from the electoral entity to the Electoral Observation Mission of the Organization of American States (OAS) who will be in charge of overseeing the April 11 elections.
On Friday, February 19, the magistrate met with Gerardo Icaza, director of the Department for Electoral Cooperation and Observation; Brenda Santa María, head of the Electoral Observation section; and other representatives of this entity who will ensure the transparency of the elections.
« All the facilities will be delivered, whatever they require for the performance of their work, since our electoral body requested their presence in the country in these elections to contribute to their transparency, » said the head of the JNE at said meeting.
