Jesús Hoyos, who was a Movistar doctor for 24 years and until mid-2020, died this Friday from a brief and devastating illness, as confirmed by the telephone team.

Jesús Hoyos received the first tribute from one of the team’s riders, Marc Soler, winner of the third stage and new leader of the Tour de Romandía.

The Catalan cyclist dedicated a brilliant victory to him, achieved alone after a final break of 10 kilometers.

“I am very happy for this victory. I want to remember, first of all, who was the doctor of our team, Jesús Hoyos. I dedicate this victory to him; unfortunately we have lost him in a very short time and it is a great shame for all,” finish the cyclist from Vilanova i la Geltrú.
