Huawei begins pre-sale in Chile of the FreeBuds Studio

Your first active noise canceling over-ear headphones.

Not long ago, Huawei unveiled its first active noise-canceling over-ear headphones, the FreeBuds Studio, and they’ll be priced to compete with Sony, Bose, Sennheiser, and the big players.

Through a press release, the company informs us that in Chile they will cost CLP $ 299,990, and that if you buy them in pre-sale (from today until December 4), they will give you a gift card of CLP $ 50,000 to use in the Huawei Store, on purchases over CLP $ 150,000.

From the brand they describe them as follows:

Thanks to its professional acoustic components, the HUAWEI FreeBuds Studios support an ultra-wide frequency response of 4Hz – 48kHz, tuned by audio experts to deliver great-sounding music with flawless detail. This premium sound is achieved thanks to its innovative tabular structure of the double layer audio channel, better known as « TAT ».

But that is not all. The HUAWEI FreeBuds Studios also feature intelligent and dynamic active noise cancellation, which allows you to eliminate up to 40dB of external noise.

With the built-in Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) environmental sensor and microphone system, the headphones can accurately detect the user’s sound environment and offer three modes of active noise cancellation, adapting to the environment to achieve better noise removal effects.

In addition, the HUAWEI FreeBuds Studio supports different cancellation modes, such as Awareness Mode and Voice Mode, which allow users to be aware of their surroundings or have a clear conversation without the need to remove the headphones. On the other hand, the new system of six microphones for the reduction of noise in calls helps to capture the voice in a more directional way, eliminating background noise.

There are more features, such as its long-lasting battery and fast charging, but we will put it to the test in a future review, when we can access them. Of course, given the price (300 euros in the Old Continent), the yardstick to measure them will be the Bose 700 and the excellent Sony WH-1000XM4, the challenge will be great and we hope they are up to the task.
