While still wondering if he will participate in the next tour of the Enfoirés, Thomas Dutronc has given his opinion on some artists of the famous troupe.

For more than 30 years, the Enfoirés troupe has met every year for the benefit of the Restos du Cœur. Founded by the late Coluche in 1986, the association comes to the aid of the most disadvantaged by distributing free foodstuffs and supporting them in some of their administrative procedures.

An initiative that won over many French artists at the time, such as Jean-Jacques Goldman, who composed the association’s anthem, La Chanson des Restos. The first band of the Enfoirés brought together Yves Montand, Nathalie Baye, Michel Platini or even Michel Drucker.

But when Coluche had launched an appeal to the artists to take part in a voluntary tour for the benefit of his association, they were few to respond. Now paid, it seems that the commitment of some is purely interested.

Thomas Dutronc’s rant

Since 1992, Les Enfoirés meet annually on stage to sing for the benefit of the Restos du Cœur. Thomas Dutronc also joined the troupe, although he was absent from several concerts. He confessed to Télé-Loisirs in 2018 that the atmosphere within the collective had greatly deteriorated:

Sometimes, you have to play elbow with certain colleagues who are not natural in their way of being and who are there to be seen, to be seen on TV. They’re going to nudge you. There are people like that out there.

Guest of the show On remake TV on RTL, the 47-year-old singer has also declared that he is not sure, once again, of participating in the next tour of the Enfoirés:

It’s a matter of planning and in January, it may be a little complicated.

He added :

As much as I always have an extraordinary time with the whole troop, we always meet fabulous people and it’s true that it’s important to make an effort for people who are hungry, but it’s a lot of stress, of work.

Françoise Hardy’s son described a frantic pace, which put him on his knees:

It’s crazy energy. For us, it’s a whole week of rehearsal from 11am to 2am maximum. It is extremely tiring. Last time it took me three weeks to recover.

Falsely committed stars

In addition to these statements, Thomas Dutronc balanced that some artists represented Les Restos du Cœurs only during the annual concert, broadcast every year on TF1:

Thereupon, the policy changed. At one point, there were too many people coming just for the TV show. So it was not very fair to those who came from the start. After that hardened, it was either you come all the time, or we won’t see you… After that, we can’t ask certain people that. It’s still a kind of diplomacy, it’s the producers who watch it but it’s rather done in a fairly fair and elegant way.

The next Enfoirés shows are scheduled from January 13 to 18, 2021 at the Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon. If the sanitary measures remain unchanged, reception will be limited to less than 5000 people and spectators will all attend in the ” sitting down“.
